Window Depot of Eastern Iowa’s Shining Star Winners Receive a Free Shower Makeover
At Window Depot of Eastern Iowa, we believe heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and they’re often found right here in our own neighborhoods. That’s why, in celebration of our 10-year anniversary, we launched our Shining Star program, a heartfelt way to recognize the everyday heroes who make our community stronger.
From teachers who go above and beyond, to neighbors who are always there to help, to friends facing life’s challenges with grace and optimism—Window Depot’s Shining Star highlights people who show kindness, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. To show our appreciation, we were honored to gift one deserving person a FREE shower transformation as our way of saying thank you for all that they do.
The story of our Shining Star honorees, Nicole and Tony Werner, truly touched our hearts. They were nominated by Nicole’s mother, Andrea, whose heartfelt words perfectly expressed why this couple shines so brightly
“They are both my heroes,” Andrea shared. “When one of their twin boys, Lane, was born with a rare physical disability, daycare was not an option. Tony made the selfless choice to leave his job and stay home full-time to care for their twins. Nicole works as a full-time registered oncology nurse and is also in school for her master’s degree—all while supporting her family and caring for her patients with so much love. They give everything of themselves every single day.”
We couldn’t agree more. Nicole and Tony’s compassion, perseverance, and dedication to both their family and community represent the very heart of what our Shining Star program is all about. It was an absolute honor for our team to surprise them with the news that they’d be receiving a brand-new shower remodel.
